Busy does not really begin to describe the last few weeks at Hope+. 

At no point since mid June have we seen less than 200 people at our Thursday session at St Margaret of Antioch, and although St Vincent’s is quieter, we still see more than twice the weekly national average there too.

Be involved with the City of Sanctuary Fair from 10.30 to 4pm on Saturday the 9th of July at the Quaker Meeting House, 22 School Lane, L1 3BT.

It is for organizations who provide services for asylum seekers and refugees, volunteers and those who'd like to know more to network and share information and ideas in a creative way using a welcoming space.

Mindfulness at St Bride’s: 8 week course

This course follows the pattern of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Programme as introduced by Jon Kabat Zinn and his colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre. The course consists of eight weekly sessions of 2 hours duration and one whole silent day of guided and structured mindfulness meditation practice. The first part of the programme puts emphasis on developing the skills of being present with internal experiences such as body sensations, thoughts, emotions and feelings.
