Speaker’s Corner is Nick Ellis' third album, inspired by the removal in '93/94 of the iron podium at Pier Head which was used by protestors and trade-unionists for twenty years.  Nick created 12 characters to stand on it and talk, brought them alive through song and made them into a record.The narrative captures the uncertain and anxious atmosphere of a divided, disillusioned and broken Britain, caught in the zeitgeist of a major cultural, social and political shift.

Joining Nick and Mellowtone Records to celebrate the tour finale is Liverpool’s foremost reality-noir, spoken word artist, Roy, along with other guests, Huyton-born songwriter Katie Mac and spoken word performer Curtis Watt.
