Religious Faith and LGBTI+ Alliances - A St Bride's Public Theology Lecture

Public Theology lecture by the Revd Dr Christina Beardsley.png

With love to guide us, nothing can divide us - a St Bride's Public Theology Lecture in partnership with St Bride's, Open Table Liverpool and HeartEdge.

Is conflict between religion and LGBTI+ people inevitable? A lecture and Q&A with Revd Dr Christina (Tina) Beardsley.

Currently there is both a religious and a more general challenge to LGBTI+ people and even to their alliances. In this lecture Tina argues that the supposed conflict between religion and LGBTI+ people is not at all inevitable, citing the Charter for Compassion, the concept of ‘deep equality’ (Beaman), experience of working in and across LGBTI+ organisations of faith, and the findings of her own collaborative projects.
