On Wednesday 18th January, St. Bride's hosted Paul Clark, an 'Ecumenical Accompanier' (EA) placed as an observer in East Jerusalem as part of a World Council of Churches programme.

His photos and vivid descriptions of house demolitions by the Israeli authorities were especially moving.

The audience found his talk and slides both riveting and sobering, and peppered him with questions afterwards. Sabeel and Liverpool Friends of Palestine ran stalls. With those organisations, St. Bride's longs to see the day when peace with justice prevails in Palestine/Israel.
