Communion Service for Trans Day of Visibility (online & in person)

  • St Bride's Liverpool Percy Street Liverpool L8 2UL UK (map)

You are invited Sunday, 17th March to the regular Communion Service for Liverpool's LGBTQIA+ community, friends and family - 6.30pm at St Bride's Liverpool AND ONLINE - refreshments served from 6pm.

This month we welcome the welcome Revd Dr Sheryl Anderson, Chair of Liverpool Methodist District, to lead our communion service. Sheryl has walked with us as part of the Christians At Pride group in Liverpool several times and gave the blessing at the Pride service in Liverpool Cathedral last July. Open Table has always been an ecumenical community and tonight Sheryl celebrates communion under the rites of the Methodist Church.

It's an extra special service as we celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility. International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society. For details of other events happening across the city to celebrate visit www.liverpooltdov.org.

After the service, you are welcome to stay on for refreshments.

Everyone is welcome at Open Table. Open Table is an LGBTQIA+ affirming Christian community which aims to create a safe and supportive place for you to explore your faith and what this might mean for your own spiritual journey. No matter who you are, where you've come from, or where your journey may take you, you will find a welcome.

Otherwise, feel free to continue to tune in on zoom. Laura our Team Vicar will be on zoom to welcome you (see below for joining details.)

We look forward to welcoming you either in person or on zoom!
