Communion Service to honour Transgender Day of Remembrance (online & in person)

  • St Bride's Liverpool Percy Street Liverpool L8 2UL UK (map)

You are invited on Sunday 20th November at 6.30pm for a special service in honour of Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Each November Open Table Liverpool dedicates its monthly communion service to Transgender Day of Remembrance (TdoR). This is a day when people all over the world remember those who have been killed as a result of transphobia. This is always a special service. Come along and join your voice and prayers with ours remembering those who have died and recommitting ourselves to building a world where all can be free of violence and to live authentic lives.

The service will be led by the Revd Bingo Allison and Ms Bethany Austin. Bingo is the first openly non-binary person to be ordained priest in the Church of England. Bethany is an ordinand training for priesthood and they are both proud members of the Trans* community.

Everyone is welcome at Open Table. Open Table is an LGBTQIA+ affirming Christian community which aims to create a safe and supportive place for you to explore your faith and what this might mean for your own spiritual journey. No matter who you are, where you've come from, or where your journey may take you, you will find a welcome.

The service is also available on zoom. Feel free to tune in if you can't make it in person. Warren, our LGBTQIA+ Facilitator, will be on zoom to welcome you (see below for joining details.)
We look forward to welcoming you either in person or on zoom!
