'God Will Not Be Mocked' God, Humour and Christianity - Zoom Lecture

  • St Bride's Liverpool Percy Street Liverpool L8 2UL UK (map)

Does God laugh? Can God be mocked? What does the fool say in his heart?

The intersection of religion and humour has long been a fruitful, fiercely contested and at times dangerous one. Into that ocean comes this idle drop courtesy of the Reverend Fergus Butler Gallie- join us as we consider what being creatures who laugh might mean for our view of God, of the follies of humanity and the particular charism of the Church of England.

Fergus Butler Gallie is a clergyman, former (ish) class clown, and an author of books, articles, essays and reviews.
