Communion Service to honour Transgender Day of Remembrance

  • St Bride's Liverpool Percy Street Liverpool L8 2UL UK (map)

You are invited on Sunday 21st November at 6.30pm for a special communion service in honour of Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Each November Open Table Liverpool dedicates its monthly service to Transgender Day of Remembrance (TdoR). This is a day when people all over the world remember those who have been killed as a result of transphobia. This is always a special service. Come along and join your voice and prayers with ours remembering those who have died and recommitting ourselves to building a world where all can be free of violence and to live authentic lives.

Everyone is welcome at Open Table. Open Table is an LGBTQIA+ affirming Christian community which aims to create a safe and supportive place for you to explore your faith and what this might mean for your own spiritual journey. No matter who you are, where you've come from, or where your journey may take you, you will find a welcome.

This service will be held both at the church AND on Zoom - You can join the zoom gathering using this link.

For those of you who are new to Zoom – when you join the call please help us by:

  • Choosing the ‘gallery view’ in the top right corner so you can see everyone on the call

  • muting your microphone until you speak

  • choosing whether you would like to have your video on or off

  • being assured that this won’t be recorded

  • using the chat box function if needed

Please get in touch on liverpool@opentable.lgbt if you have any questions or would like more details.
