Christian Aid Week 2017

Christian Aid Week is from Sunday 14th to Saturday 20th May 2017.

This text from the Christian Aid website explains why it is still needed:

‘We know that the conflict that drives refugee crises is not what God wants for the world. From the Israelites fleeing Egypt to Jesus fleeing Herod, the Bible is full of stories of people seeking sanctuary. Again and again, we’re told of God’s concern for the stranger in the land. By holding a church collection this Christian Aid Week, we can play our part in answering God’s call to love our neighbours.

£5 could give a refugee in Europe two nutritious meals
£50 could buy a stove for refugees to cook their own food.

There will be a basket for a collection this week and next, to help support refugees who don’t have a safe place to call home. Read more about Christian Aid Week, or donate online. Thank you!
