Two years on from the introduction of equal marriage, Bishop Alan reflects on his timely book, More Perfect Union: Understanding Same Sex Marriage, arguing that allowing gay people to marry is a moral purpose.
The Right Reverend Alan Wilson, Bishop of Buckingham in the Anglican Diocese of Oxford, will give a free lecture called More Perfect Union: Same sex marriage two years on, at St Brides Liverpool’s, Percy Street, Toxteth, on 17th October.
Bishop Alan’s visit is part of the Theology and Modernity lecture series, which brings nationally renowned theologians and philosophers to Liverpool to deliver papers from the cutting edge of thought about the divine and our world.
The lecture starts at 6pm, followed by questions and discussion until 7.30pm. Refreshments are available from 5.30pm. No need to book, and free parking is available in the church grounds.
